Hey guys, its michelle here..u guys look great and coping well. anyway, just an update on me, been quite stressed out few few months back cos of various things, and was in obstetrics, so had no time to catch up with anyone..thankfully, did ok for obs exam and currently in psychiatry..I find psychiatry dry and erm just dry..and u can't stay in it too long cos u'll start psychoanalysing yourself! haha, but good thing is it's quite free la..

anyway, this is a belated belated thank you to those who wished me Happy Birthday! thanks, i m touched by those wishes and they were important to me that time..amelia who msged on time! Lina dear who called and we berborak and even had the time to bergossip somemore..
Have to give Gowri a shoutout for the card by snailmail! thank god she told me over msn cos we so rarely check the mailbox! almost got drenched in the rain..ah, but thanks Gowri dear! and of cos my dear friends in seremban who had a bday dinner with me... the cake was good :) and no worries, i know the watch accounts for the next few birthdays in the future haha.
pool party sem 2

we should probably start changing positions in pics eh?

oh then after the dinner, i had to rush for oncall in the labour room till 11 something..yea, thats o&g for u..well, i was happily telling a hypertensive mother having 3 in10 contractions that it was my bday and her baby is going to have the same bday as me! she gave me a weak smile and "sorry i'm not ecstatic bout it rite now" look..heh..she was chatty postpartum though..

hmm, then on obs exam day, i had patient with multiple problems..multiple..and because of tat, she was constantly pulled away from me during my 40 minutes for assessment and re assessment and she ended crying cos of those not so gentle VEs..and she's only 24..and indian so very low threshold for pain..neways, when examiner came in,all i had was a crying patient, her personal details, a brief list of her problems, antenatal checkups and erm no physical ex done..in obs, if u dunno details rite up to what she ate throughtout pregnancy, its a bad history, so needless to say, i thought i was dead! i decided to be honest, and at the risk of sounding "excuses excuses" i told Datuk Siva the truth, ihad 10 minutes with the patient, and no i did not make her cry..hehe, he is a great man and i've grown to admire him,i wish u overseas ppl have a chance to experience learning from some of the great docs we have here in Seremban, esp the datuks, Datuk Kew and all.. the passion they have for medicine is something so rare nowadays, and they may be strict to us, but when talk to patients rite, wah..damn gentle.heh, neways, he was understanding and tested me more on management which wasnt easy but i was grateful he didnt penalize on the history..oh gosh, talking too much..

well, the other thing is my mum finally after 10 years of tantrums and persuasion, brought me to watch PHANTOM OF THE OPERAAAAAA..hehe, all those years memorising the lyrics and songs..finally, up close and personal (3rd row from the stage), Phantom was practicaly screaming to my face haha..and the ochestra!omg, amazing, we went earlier so i could see them rehearse and all..too bad no cameras allowed..initially we had one extra ticket cos my younger sis had a Latin dance competition( which she got second, quite proud of her la, tat bimbo..hehe), so my mum was like u wanna bring your "friend"? *wink wink..i was like dont bother winking mummy, i'll try asking racine..haha, but due to unforeseen circumstances which involved faulty phone and younger brother, we brought my younger brother instead (he did his homework, memorising the story and all so(well my mum made him)..apparently his classmate Jason went for it and didnt like it at all, so Nick wasn't enthusiastic bout it, but after the show, he was like "tat was coool man,i wonder why Jason didnt like it"..hehe, so we all loved it, even though my mum and stepdad watched it several times before (the first time was during their honeymoon in Europe), but my stepdad was like "your mom still thinks the chandelier is gonna fall on the audience"and "your mom still cant get their names rite"..haha, mummy was quite clueless la

That's my mum and i , i forgot how beautiful she is...oh u mightbe wondering where me stepdad is, he's the one taking all the photos,i wanna "advertise" my stepdad a bit, he got us the tickets, drve us there, had to renew some sticker on the car(tats how knowledgable i am) at the customs,so someone had to run down and do it,my mum would have sent me as per usual, but he ran out to get it eventhough he was drivin'..

we were much earlier so mymum and i was like lets go shopping in the mean time!but couldnt find parking, well singapore on weekends la..of cos that didnt stop us!so poor guy had to drive around and come back and get us when showtime..then at the Esplanade, again, parking quite far, but he dropped us off first so we dont have to walk..basically everythin was done for us la..my mum always said "choose a guy who knows how to take care of u, the rest is not important" i know most guys would do that at the initial courtship but after 10 years++ of marriage..however i'm glad that i am able to quote some of my friends who have potential to be like that namely Bran (tats y can "fong sam" ling wei with u), Kah Heng, Ananth and a few others..

anyway,i'm actually studying for psych exam in 2 days time..so probably post something some other time..oh no wait, i forgot my lil' bro..his name is Nicholas Tan Leap Han and he enjoyed Phantom of the Opera.
